Thought this class was great. What is really cool is learning about equipment and shooting experiences from the other members of the class. As always, Jason is the key ingredient to the success of the class with his vast knowledge and funny antics.

It was a very informative class and will make my portrait and headshot photography more than just a hobby.

The 2nd meetup I've done with Jason, and this one was just as good as the first. He is very knowledgeable and is able to explain things at a basic level. He also includes a lot of details to watch for, some of which I would have never thought of but that can make all the difference between a good photo and a great photo

I enjoyed the class but as we were the first class, I want to give honest feedback so improvements could be made. 1. Require everyone to bring a tripod and ND filters (make recommendations of filters students should get on your website) so you can cover it in more detail in the class. 2. Go over the lecture part first and then move the class to Balboa park. At the park, a) you can try to stop water or blur it using the fountains at the park. This would allow you to cover the ND filters in a practical setting. b) There may be skate boarders or others moving about that would not object to having their picture taken so you can try out your new skills of stopping and blurring action, panning etc. The instructor can also run around there too if no one is willing to allow you photograph them. c) Moving it to the park also deals with the dumpster issue outside the studio.

For the first time this class has been taught I thoroughly enjoyed this class. Full of information and useful techniques to help improve anyone's action photography. Jason did an excellent job of incorporating specific individual needs into the course material which I greatly appreciated. I thought the course layout and progression was well thought out. Pretty easy to get off topic though. Especially when talking about filters. Although I did like holding the individual activities until the end; there is something to be said for a five minute break every hour to stretch your legs a little.

I learned a whole lot. May have to take this one a couple of time to take it all in. Would enjoy being able to take this "on the road" to capture more action in sunny setting. Maybe at Presidio with more detailed handout if you can't get your powerpoint presentation to work there. Just a thought.

The class was great, I love Rob he's so cool and relax. And totally helpful . I reccomend this class to anyone who wants to get the right nature shots and sunsets. But I do say the parking sucks down in La Jolla. I recommend maybe starting at 3:30p then maybe parking would be easier? Cause Rob speaks about 30 min with hand outs. Then your allowed to shoot your pictures. I notice half the didn't stay for sunset shots. Maybe starting later might help? Thanks Rob for helping me with my tripod too

Great class. I didn't know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. The class focused on what makes a great photograph as compared to a "bad" one. The techniques were easy and its amazing out when you apply them, pictures come out so much more interesting. I highly recommend it to anyone. Bring pen and paper because there's lots of gold nuggets that will take your photography to the next level.

I learned o lot in this class. Jason spent a lot of time going over basic camera use and how to get beyond the "point and shoot" auto. His passion for his work shows.

I am French ... so at one point I was a little bit lost... but Jason helped me very nicely. Too bad the weather was not good... but the nice thing is that I can go back an other time for the tour. Thank you very much. Marie Claude

These classes keep getting better and better. I applaud my colleagues for a job well done. The timing and topics were right on, and the instructions were very helpful. Everyone should attend, not only the amateurs but pros too, to gain a different perspective.

Great class. There was a lot of information packed into the session and the opportunity to try some different settings on the camera. I got more than I expected from the class.

A great overview on how to use your DSLR camera and finally get it off the Automatic settings. Totally worth the money! The instructor was helpful and knowledgeable. I would recommend this class to anyone who wants to learn more about their camera. I plan on taking more classes through this studio.

Great beginners course that went over a lot of information - especially on familiarizing with the basics of the camera but also with some very neat helpful hints thrown in here and there.

The class was very informative and the walking tour really helped you apply some of the lecture so the terminology made more sense. Would definetly recommend this class.

Thank you both so much, it really was fantastic! Lots of technique based info with tons of hands on practice to apply it before losing it! It really felt comfortable being a beginner and watching my daughter with a new camera in her hands, learn so much. There was enough info and techniques for everyones skill level, and not just designed for the experts. I never felt like what we didn't know was a bore to teach, or our questions were too trivial to be asked. I was also so enthralled with her pictures, and by how much she was able to do once using the right blend of settings based on informed decision making. It was just what was needed to get that camera being used the way it was intended!Thank you also for that refreshing viewpoint -reminding us that our pictures were telling the story we see it through our own eyes, and critiques, well, they're just uninformed viewers.
