We will have one or more models on hand for this class as well as light modifiers, flashes, light stands, and transmitters and receivers. Bring your small hotshoe flash and accessories. Students will work in pairs will have a chance to work both as a photographer and as a lighting assistant. The focus will be on brief discussion followed by brief assignments. Rob will be present to instruct you, help with the technical stuff and make sure all the gear is running smoothly.
A “must have” skill for people who want to take better location portraits and dramatically lit shots.
I look forward to this class and the experiences it will bring to all of those who attend.
*Prerequisites for this class would be to take the Introduction to Using Flash Photography class or just have a good understanding of your flash and its capabilities (additional Nikon and Canon flashes will be available for use). You should have a DSLR and be able to shoot in manual mode.
**This class starts at 3:30pm and will last until 7:30pm if not later. I encourage you to stay after to get different lighting scenarios as the sky gets darker and darker.
I'd love to sign up but I don't have a working flash at the moment. I've got a Canon DSLR, would you possibly have a spare flash on hand I could use if I sign up?
Yes, you'll be able to use my gear for the class.
We have a beautiful new model for this class- Morgan Leigh. And she is a country singer so she will fit right in with the railroad tracks and old buildings at this location. Here's some of her music and photo - http://www.reverb...

....and bring something warm to wear, its gonna be quite cold toward the end, always hate to see anyone leave early!
Are we meeting somewhere specific?
Near the picnic tables
Don't forget to post some photos! I think this was one of our best Loc Lighting classes, really interested to see some work....
Rob, when will you be having this class again?
May 20 -http://www.sandie...

but we have a studio lighting class in the studio this Sunday - Very similar, just indoors
