Apply what you learned by going on a guided photo hands-on session around our studio, Grantville and the Trolley Station.
Receive 1-on-1 attention from four professional photography instructors.
Have an awesome experience and some great photos to prove it.
If you have ever wanted to learn what it takes to capture better and more engaging photographs that you will be proud of then this is the class for you. In this all day class you will learn how to visualize your image before you even think about the settings of your camera. We will teach you the many different rules of composition and when to use them so you can capture great images whether it be with a DSLR or a cell phone. Once you learn the composition part we will walk you through the settings of your camera. You will learn what the settings do, what the numbers mean, how to change them and when to use certain settings to capture the shots you want. This includes learning shutter speed, aperture, ISO, metering and white balance and how they relate to one another.
Now all of this information is great and you will learn so much, but it will do nothing for you if you don’t get some hands on learning to practice what you learned. Because of this there will be four instructors that will work with you and your camera to make sure you understand how it all works on your camera. We have four instructors because we know there will be lots of questions and we want to give you some of that 1-on-1 time that most large classes can’t give you.
After the learning part of the class in the morning we will exit the studio, take a quick lunch break, and then go out in Mission Valley and around the studio where you will be split into four groups led by your instructor. Each group will be assigned different exercises related to the previous learning session to make sure you get an opportunity to practice what you were taught. After the exercise we will rotate to the next exercise until each group has done all four exercises at four different locations.
You will not want to miss this class because it will be a comprehensive learning experience that will bring you closer to your camera and fall in love with photography even more.
